Everybody needs motivation whether it is to
get out of bed in the morning for an exciting day at work, embarking on a new
fitness goal you have set yourself or keep setting yourself which requires a
lot more motivation than getting out of bed every day. I’m sure you can all
agree with me on this one! I myself have been there, telling myself I will go
to the gym and never actually do!!
Motivation can be a very hard psychological
factor for people, as with the media and T.V of the 21st century,
people are continuously blasted with photos of young models which have the
dream body that people aspire to. This
also has a negative effect on people, as seeing these pictures on a day to day
basis makes people think what’s the point in trying!! I am never going to look
as good as him or her! This is very
common in today’s society. We have all been there when someone has come up to
us and said ‘you’ve gained a few pounds’ or if you are trying to gain muscle,
‘you’ve lost a bit of muscle’……..OUCH!
There is nothing worse than another member of the public or a friend
telling you that your body has worsened.
It really does hit you when you are told this, as you may agree, if you
were smiling that day that smile would have just been wiped from your face and
your motivation would have hit the floor, but you shouldn’t let this get to
you, you should take that comment on the ear and send it straight to the
motivation bank! Use that motivation and work even harder than you normally
would, don’t just stop because someone has shared one opinion with you, their
opinion doesn’t matter! The only opinions that do matter are the positive ones,
which really give you that feel good feeling!
The saying Never say Never really comes
into play with motivation as the body is capable of adapting to change very
quickly, so if you want to lose weight or gain muscle your body will start to
endure all the relevant adaptations to aid you with your fitness goals. So now
after reading this I am sure that some of you have been through this, I for
sure have been there myself.
Now
set yourself a fitness goal that you want to achieve!
Plan your workouts!
Don’t let anybody get you down, Use it as
MOTIVATION!
Get out there and get that beach body
everybody will be aspiring to!
Last but not least Never say Never!
