After winning the 21 day transformation prize. Leanne started her intense
training straight away. All the training was completely new to her and was
completely out of her comfort zone. The type of training was known as Metabolic
Training & Interval Training. Each and every workout was full body
training. This training is directed at increasing the heart rate to then
elevate the Metabolism to increase the rate the body burn calories.
The
training session went very well with a
lot of I cants and I hate this but in the long Leanne went from 2-3 gym
sessions a week to 5 intense 1 hour personal training sessions a week… so yeah
complaints were bound to be in order. Despite the I can’t or I hate this,
Leanne’s motivation was still their throughout each and every 1 hour training
sessions.
Day
1-5
This was probably the hardest for Leanne as
I’m sure you guys have been in the situation were your body has had a big shock
in the gym and you wake up the next day, thinking I am never going to the gym again! Let alone after a Personal Training session,
despite the pain Leanne showed up at 9am
bright an early and told me no SQUATS! (This is the most common thing I hear in
the gym today)
Day
5-10
Leanne’s
body had now started to adapt to the type of training it was taking on each
session so we had to change it up. Therefore we started adding a lot of
interval work throughout the sessions. Interval for you guys that are unsure is
high intensity work for a short period of time, e.g. sprint’s rest more sprints
This
was definately definitely what Leanne’s favourite… running! ( can’t wait till she reads that hehe) so
again the next day the body was shocked, and she told me it felt like day 1
again , my job was complete so for the rest of the week was full of high
intervals and core work.
Day
10-15
The
last week we really needed to shock the body so I combined metabolic training
with the high interval blasts to create a crazy combination that would leave
any one “feeling it”.
This really did shock the body and this is what I was trying to build up to
from day one! Her fitness levels had improved so much as one of her family
members joined in and is still feeling it 4 days later, whereas Leanne’s
fitness and recovery time had sped up so much Leanne’s body was now working at
such an excelled rate.
